NEW YORK CITY — A city school worker with porn-star aspirations allegedly asked a female student for some action on Facebook — and suggested she become his agent in the adult-film industry.
A volunteer football coach at another city high school was accused of bedding a player’s girlfriend, then threatening the team member on the hugely popular social-networking site.
An aide at a Bronx city school allegedly messaged creepy come-ons to a female student suffering from depression and asked her if she wanted a gift for Valentine’s Day.
All three were among a recent batch of city Department of Education workers who were fired for bad behavior involving Facebook, according to reports by the office of the Special Commissioner of Investigation for city schools.
Michael Alberti, 31, was a paraprofessional at Juan Morel Campos Secondary School in Williamsburg, until a city investigator's report said a female student told officials he acted “creepy” with her and asked her to manage him in the skin-flick business.
The student claimed she and Alberti started corresponding on Facebook in February 2012 because he knew her boyfriend, a former student at Juan Morel Campos.
The student and her boyfriend shared a Facebook account, according to investigators. Her chat with Alberti began about a job opportunity for her boyfriend, but the discussion turned X-rated when Alberti said he wanted to quit his school gig and get into porn, according to the report.
The student told the investigator that Alberti then suggested she become his agent. He allegedly added that she should make a porn film with him — so she could test his talent before signing him as a client. Alberti also wondered how mad the student’s boyfriend would get if they did make a stag film, the report says.
A week later, the dopey DOE worker allegedly claimed to the student that he taped a "nudie movie."
“I did a booboo last night lol,” he wrote in a Facebook conversation, according to the report. “I made a nudie movie last night lol.”
The student told investigators that she removed Alberti from her friend list after the comment.
Alberti reported to investigators in March that he thought he could be the boyfriend's Facebook friend because the student no longer attended Juan Morel Campos.
Alberti said he thought he was making inappropriate jokes to the boyfriend, adding he would never have made those jokes to the female student, the report says.
Alberti, who worked at the school for seven years, was fired over the incident. He did not respond to a message sent to him on Facebook.
Amaree Jenkins, 27, was an assistant coach for the powerhouse football team at the Thomas Jefferson Campus in East New York, until he allegedly scored with a female student, bragged about the tryst on the school's practice field, and sent intimidating messages to her boyfriend on Facebook.
An investigator’s report found that Jenkins called the female student 123 times and sent 745 text messages to her phone last year.
In May, shortly after her birthday, Jenkins asked the student if he could come over to her home, investigators said. When he arrived, Jenkins followed the student into her bedroom, pulled on her pants, gave her “a look,” and then had sex with her, the report says.
The student later called her boyfriend — a member of the football team — to tell him about the incident, according to investigators. His mother instructed her to call police.
The report adds that the boyfriend claimed Jenkins began harassing him on Facebook, and a day after the sexual encounter, Jenkins confronted the boyfriend on the football field.
“You're not so tough off of Facebook,” he told the boyfriend, who then called his mother and went to police, the report says.
The report adds that an NYPD detective investigating the incident determined that the sex was consensual and that the female student's family did not want to pursue a case.
Jenkins admitted he had sex with the student, but claimed the boyfriend had sent him threatening posts after finding out about the tryst, the report says. Thomas Jefferson has since severed ties with the coach, who could not be reached for comment.
Another investigator's report says Kevin Pellot, 31, a school aide at DeWitt Clinton High School in The Bronx, harassed a female student suffering from severe depression in spring 2012.
In Facebook messages, he allegedly called the student “pretty” and told her, “I cant wait till ur. 18!!! Lol.” He also called her his Valentine’s Day gift and asked if she wanted a present, the report says.
Investigators said that when the student returned from a two-week absence in April, Pellot asked, “Were you in the crazy house? Are you loca?”
The aide admitted to the investigator he was the student's Facebook friend but did not write or say anything inappropriate. The DOE fired him over the incident. Pellot also could not be reached for comment.
Another investigator's report says Walter Pagan, 35, a Kingsborough Community College security guard, had sex with a female student from Leon M. Goldstein High School in spring 2012. The city school is on the Kingsborough Community College campus in Manhattan Beach, Brooklyn.
Pagan began flirting with the student in January 2012, and the two soon started hanging out at his apartment three times a week after his shift ended, according to investigators. The report says the pair also exchanged Facebook messages with one another.
“Hey babe im home this was the only way im able to contact you,” Pagan wrote on March 19, according to the report.
The reply from the student's account must have come as a shock.
“Listen walter this is [the student’s] mother if I find out ur dealing with my daughter there will be big issues,” the message said, according to the report.
In April the student ran away from home and spent the weekend at Pagan's apartment, where they had sex, the report says. The student told an investigator she also had sex with him during a weekend in May.
Pagan was fired from his job in May when the student's mom provided printouts of Facebook communications between him and the student to the Kingsborough Department of Public Safety, the reports adds.
Pagan admitted to an investigator that he had consensual sex with the student but claimed that, through conversations with her, he knew she "was not a minor." He could not be reached for comment.
The Education Department's guidelines allow employees to use social media and Facebook for learning-related purposes. But it requires employees "adhere to the same professional standards of conduct on social media sites as they would in any other." It reviews its guidelines every three months to keep pace with technological advances.
In a statement to DNAinfo New York, the DOE said: "We provide teachers with guidelines on how to use social media appropriately, and we expect all staff to conduct themselves professionally when using Facebook or other social media."
