Santa Paws to Greet Canines and Kids in Inwood

By Nigel Chiwaya | December 5, 2012 5:57pm

INWOOD— Santa Claus is coming to town early this year, and his first stop will be at Inwood Hill Park as part of the uptown dog-enthusiast group Inwoof's "Santa Paws."

The annual event, which has been held for over a decade, provides neighborhood families and pooches the chance to pose for pictures with Saint Nick near Homer's Run. Inwoof's elves will be on hand to take high-res photos of families with Santa that will be made available for download at Inwoof's Flickr page.

The event is free to the public, but donations for the dog run are welcome.

"Santa Paws" will be held from noon to 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 8, 2012. Entrance is near Isham Street and Seaman Avenue. In the event of rain a make-up date will be held on Sunday, Dec. 9.
