THE BRONX — A 39-year-old man was shot in the back and killed Monday night, the NYPD said.
Michael Perez was found with a gunshot wound at Willett Avenue and East 213th Street, near his Williamsbridge home, at 11:20 p.m., police said.
Perez was rushed to Montefiore Hospital, where he died.
An NYPD spokesman said Perez seemed to know his assailant, and the two had an altercation before the shooting.
Police have not made any arrests as the investigation is ongoing, police said.
