BRONX — Firefighters were battling an intense blaze at a high-rise building on Olinville Avenue in Bronxwood Friday, officials said.
The fire on the ninth floor at 2550 Olinville Ave., between Mace and Allerton avenues, started at 1:47 p.m., an FDNY spokesman said.
At least 60 firefighters were still fighting the second-alarm fire about 30 minutes after the initial 911 call, officials said.
There were no immediate reports of injuries, the spokesman added.
