FLATIRON — The owners of Eleven Madison Park, the award-winning restaurant that was until recently owned by restaurateur Danny Meyer, are preparing for the soft opening of a new restaurant inside the NoMad Hotel on Monday.

News about the impending opening of NoMad on Broadway near West 28th Street has been circulating across social media outlets, and the lucky few who have been treated to preview dinners over the past few days have been raving about the tasty addition to the Flatiron district.

"I was told not to tweet too many specifics about the not-yet-opened NoMad restaurant," @RetroManNYC tweeted on Sunday. "But in general, I can say it was amazing. #Wow."

The executive chef at Eleven Madison Park, Daniel Humm, and its general manager, Will Guidara, are the culinary dream team behind the new restaurant. Humm was recently nominated for a James Beard award for outstanding chef, and Eleven Madison Park is repeatedly ranked among the top restaurants in New York City.

The two purchased Eleven Madison Park from Danny Meyer late last year.

The menu at the NoMad will include beef tartare, salmon rillettes, spaetzle with rabbit and a bronzed chicken for two crusted with brioche and layered with black truffles and foie gras. Brooklyn Brewery has made a beer called Le Poulet specifically to pair with that dish, according to The New York Times.

Although the restaurant hasn’t officially opened, it has already earned a lone, five-star Yelp review, which raves about the egg with asparagus, quinoa and parmesan.

"As good as it gets, does not do this place justice. I went there last night for a preview, and I can not get over how wonderful the food and service was," the effusive reviewer wrote.

"The food is so mind blowing that I wanted to die in my seat."
