MANHATTAN — The executive chef and manager behind Eleven Madison Park were tapped to run the lounges and restaurants at the NoMad Hotel, rising just five blocks from their Madison Avenue restaurant in the Flatiron District, the New York Times reported.

Daniel Humm, who was awarded best chef in New York City of 2010 by the illustrious James Beard Foundation, will work with manager Will Guidara on bringing their culinary magic with a French flair to the hotel's bar, library lounge and two à la carte dining rooms on the ground floor, plus a seasonal outdoor dining spot on the roof.

The spaces will all be known as NoMad, the paper reported.

Humm said he didn't know who would be running the kitchen for its anticipated February opening.

"I hope to have an open hearth oven and plan dishes that celebrate New York," he told the paper. "But there will definitely be a French accent because my roots are French."

The NoMad Hotel is latest project from Andrew Zobler, the developer behind the uber-hip Ace Hotel.
