BRONX — A man was killed and a woman critically injured in a raging fire in Williamsbridge early Sunday morning, authorities said.

The fire in the basement of 1120 E. 225th St., near Laconia Avenue, broke out just before 5:20 a.m., according to police and fire officials.

Rescuers found a man in his 60s, who was not immediately identified, and rushed him to Montefiore Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

They also discovered a woman, who was taken to Jacobi Hospital, where she was listed in stable condition, according to cops.

Fire sources said that she was on a ventilator.

Three firefighters also suffered minor injuries fighting the blaze, which was placed under control just before 6:50 a.m.

The cause was not immediately known, but cops said no criminality was suspected.
