MANHATTAN — Police are looking for an overweight ex-employee of fitness chain Lucille Roberts in connection with an alleged vandalism attack on the Upper East Side mansion belonging to the family of the workout pioneer, according to the New York Post.
Police went around the East 80th Street neighborhood with a photo of the chubby suspect they think attacked the home with white paint. They think he is a New Jersey man named David and they believe he also sent a barrage of creepy letters, including one note that read "Don't f--k with me," to the late Roberts' home, the Post reported.
"[He’s] in his 20s, fat with a double chin, who looks like he’s smuggling oranges in his cheeks," a doorman in the neighborhood told the paper.
One letter he sent contained white powder that turned out to be non-toxic, the report says.
A spokesperson for the police department could not confirm the investigation.
