MANHATTAN — A performance of Daniel Radcliffe's "How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying" was abruptly canceled Wednesday night when a stagehand died backstage.
The man, who was not identified, was rushed from the Al Hirschfeld Theater in cardiac arrest Wednesday night, authorities said.
The famed theater, at 302 W. 45th St., was showing "How to Suceed in Business Without Really Trying," featuring Harry Potter star Daniel Radcliffe and John Larroquette.
The man, whose age was not immediately known, was rushed to Roosevelt Hospital just before 8 p.m. He died after an apparent accidental drug overdose, the New York Post reported.
"Curtain hasn't gone up yet," tweeted @RyderReally.

She then tweeted: "This showing has been cancelled...something awful must have happened."
Later, she wrote: "lots of police cars, someone was put in an ambulance hoping for the best. Daniel Radcliffe and John Laruquette looked shaken."
The company that owns the Hirschfeld Theater, Jujamcyn, did not immediately respond to a call or email for comment.
