MANHATTAN - Randy Representative Anthony Weiner tweeted with a 17-year-old girl from Delaware, prompting police to investigate, according to published reports.

A pair of cops went to the home of the girl, in New Castle County, yesterday, interviewed her and examined her computer's contents, the Daily News said.

But the girl insisted to cops that the exchanges were G-rated.

"They were made aware of an alleged contact between Congressman Anthony Weiner and an area teen," said police spokeswoman Tracey Duffy, according to The News.

"The teen has been interviewed and disclosed no information regarding criminal activity."

In one of the messages, Weiner fashioned himself a superhero, saying: "I came back strong. Large. Tights and cape..." the paper said.

According to The Post, the girl's mom said that her daugther wrote "I'm in love with you," but explained that "she's 17."

A spokeswoman for Weiner insisted the missives "were neither explicit nor indecent," the paper said.

The married pol, who represents Brooklyn and Queens, has been embroiled in a scandal for weeks now since lying about accidentally posting racy pictures of himself to Twitter and having Twitter exchanges with several women.

Weiner, whose wife, Huma Abedin, is pregnant, said he would not resign, despite a growing chorus that he should step down.
