HELL'S KITCHEN — LCD Soundsytem did not disappoint during a stop on its weeklong farewell tour, playing a marathon show Wednesday night to a sold-out house that stayed well past midnight to soak up every synth beat and cowbell clank for the band's sendoff run.

Front man James Murphy and company jammed for more than three hours at Terminal 5, marking the third of four nights at the venue before its blowout grand finale Saturday at Madison Square Garden.

The group covered mostly familiar territory, playing hits off their critically acclaimed albums "Sound of Silver" and its 2010 follow-up "This Is Happening."

The crowd exploded during the opening number "Dance Yrself Clean" and was barely able to catch its breath over the next few hours.

"Everything hurts," tweeted Lacrin on Thursday morning following the concert. "That show was amazing. LCD Soundsystem, you will be missed."

"I think I lost hearing in my right ear after LCD Soundsystem," added spamremix386. "Worth it."

Others grieving over the band's demise found themselves in the denial stage.

"Listening to This Is Happening," tweeted QuiffProFro, "and refusing to acknowledge that LCD Soundsystem is over :( "

The band will play its final Terminal 5 show Thursday night, followed by the Saturday's Madison Square Garden finale, which will be live-streamed online  on Pitchfork.com.
