MANHATTAN — LeBron James will travel to a Connecticut suburb on Thursday to announce whether he'll play for the Knicks or another NBA team, according to news reports.

ESPN Radio confirmed that James will make his announcement at a Boys and Girls Club in Greenwich, Conn., the Daily News reported. ESPN agreed to air an hour-long special for James to make his announcement.

Meanwhile, a former teammate of the Knicks' newest acquisition, Amar'e Stoudamire, tweeted that he knew where James was headed.

"Breaking News!!! My sources tell me Lebron will announce that he will be goin to the NY KNICKS tomorrow on ESPN.. This is serious.. WOW!!!!" Dudley wrote on Twitter. "That's what I'm hearing.. I don't care where he goes lol.. I personally thought he would stay in Cleveland."

Landing Stoudamire took the Knicks from longshots in the King James sweepstakes to among the frontrunners, the Daily News said.

James arrived at his basketball camp in Ohio wearing a Yankees cap.
