MANHATTAN — On the eve of the NBA Draft at Radio City Music Hall, speculation runs high as to what the rebuilding Knicks are going to do with their picks.

They have two second round picks, 38 and 39, but they could trade one of them and cash to buy their way into the first round, the New York Post reported.

In that scenario, they would grab Nevada guard Armon Johnson, the Post said.

They bought a first round pick last year from the Los Angeles Lakers and used it to grab point guard Toney Douglas out of Florida State.

Now, trade rumors swirl around Douglas, as the New York Times says the Knicks are looking to move him or Wilson Chandler to the Portland Trail Blazers in exchange for Rudy Fernandez.

That trade doesn't involve any picks, the Times reported.

But if the Knicks stick with the picks they have, various sports pundits have predicted who they'll draft.

ESPN.com’s Chad Forte thinks the Knicks will take Terrico White, a guard from Mississippi, and Greivis Vasquez, an outspoken point guard from Maryland.

NBAdraft.net experts think the Knicks will in another direction, with two big men: Lazar Hayward, from Marquette, and Tibor Pless from Germany.

Draftexpress.com predicts they’ll take big men as well, projecting they’ll pick forward Devin Ebanks, a local star who played for two years at West Virginia or Gani Lawal, who had an excellent postseason appearance at Georgia Tech.

Yahoo! Sports also thinks the Knicks will take Lawal, but adds Miroslav Raduljica, a center from Serbia, to the mix.

SI.com doesn't project picks past the first round of the draft.

The draft begins 7 p.m. on Thursday.
