MANHATTAN SUPREME COURT —  Actor Simon Pegg took the stand Wednesday in the retrial of the man accused of stealing pricy items from him and actress Kirsten Dunst at the SoHo Grand.

Pegg told the jury his digital camera, cell phone and iPod were swiped from the hotel during a 2007 movie shoot in the second trial of James Jimenez, who's accused of swiping the items from an off-limits penthouse.

"We figured that the floor was secure because of the rigmarole it had taken to get up there," said Pegg, explaining the suite he occupied for one night seemed inaccessible to outsiders.

Pegg's "How to Lose Friends and Alienate People" co-star Kirsten Dunst was on the stand Tuesday discussing the disappearance of her Balenciaga handbag, Marc Jacobs wallet, $2,000 in cash and other items.

"My belongings had gone — I noticed that straight away," said Pegg.

Pegg had hidden his wedding ring and other jewelry before making several trips to the hotel's lobby for scene shoots throughout the night on Aug. 9, 2007.

Pegg's phone was returned to him by mail, but his other items were not, he said.

Jimenez's first trial ended in a hung jury.

His defense attorney said his client had permission to be in the actors' penthouse because he was following his friend, Jarrod Beinerman, who was there to sell drugs to the crew.

Dunst testified that she knew her assistant smoked marijuana, but denied she smokes it herself.
