MANHATTAN — Former Giants wide receiver Plaxico Burress had his prison recreation privileges revoked for one month after lying to a prison guard about his phone privileges in November, the New York Post reported.

Burress has been allowed to have a cell phone while he's incarcerated at the Oneida Correctional Facility, the Post reported. He reportedly told a guard he had permission to use the phone to call his attorney when he didn't, the paper said.

The ex-NFL star pleaded guilty on Aug. 20 to a gun possession charge in Manhattan and was sentenced to two years in prison, a term he began in September.

Burress accidentally shot himself in the leg at the Latin Quarter nightclub in Midtown while fumbling with an unregistered handgun firearm that was concealed in his pants.

The Oneida Correctional Facility is roughly 250 miles northwest of the city.
