MANHATTAN CRIMINAL COURT — Al Shapton's ex-wife and daughter will have to return to court to face harassment and resisting arrest charges related to an alleged profanity-laced traffic stop in Harlem.

A Manhattan Criminal Court judge denied their requests to dismiss charges during a brief court appearance on Tuesday, and a new trial date was set for March 23.

The women are accused of verbally accosting police officers who stopped an SUV driven by Dominique Sharpton at W. 110th Street and Eighth Avenue on Oct. 30.

"Why the f*** am I getting a summons?" the Sharpton's daughter shouted at police, according to the criminal complaint.

Kathy Jordan, Dominique's mother and Sharpton's former spouse, interjected with defensive words, according to prosecutors.

Dominique Sharpton, left, daughter of Rev. Al Sharpton, and Kathy Jordan, Al Sharpton's ex-wife, enter Manhattan Criminal Court on Tuesday, Jan. 19, 2010.

"Why the f*** are you locking her up? Get your f**king hands off her!"

While driving, Dominique cut off a police car causing them to veer out of harm's way. She also crossed a double yellow line and ran a red light in her haste.

The women told police they were late for a show as they physically resisted police efforts to handcuff and detain them, the complaint says.
