MANHATTAN CRIMINAL COURT — An Upper West Side psychologist accused of slashing her husband with two knives in the heat of a fight pleaded guilty to a harassment charge and was ordered to continue therapy for at least three months.

Joyce Poster-Lederman, 64, faced assault and weapon possession charges, which were dropped when she entered the plea.

Poster-Lederman allegedly lashed out at her husband on Sept. 29 at their W. 84th Street apartment. She used two knifes to stab him on his hands and legs, prosecutors charged.

Her plea to harassment means she will not have a criminal record.

Since the violent fight, Poster-Lederman has been living at home with her husband, fellow psychologist Selwyn Lederman and the pair have reconciled, her attorney said.

"They're happy together and they're happy to be living together," said Aaron Wallenstein, her attorney. "This was nothing more than a tiff between husband and wife."

Wallenstein said the situation was misread by police and prosecutors and that he didn't believe Selwyn Lederman had been physically harmed.

"They had a verbal argument. She didn't do anything," Wallenstein said.
