Jon Hansen is the Radio News Director for DNAinfo Chicago.

Before joining DNAinfo, Jon worked for Clear Channel in a few different roles. Most recently, Jon ran the Chicago Bureau for 24-7 Source News, a national radio news wire service. Before that, Jon worked for Total Traffic as a news and traffic reporter for WBBM Newsradio, WGN 720-AM, and numerous other Chicago radio stations.

Jon was also an airborne reporter for CBS television in Chopper-2 HD. He filled in as the traffic anchor at FOX 32. Jon is also the backup Public Address Announcer for the Chicago Blackhawks at United Center.

Jon went to the University of Illinois in Urbana and graduated in 2006 with a degree in Broadcast Journalism. He was the Operations Manager of WPGU 107.1FM until 2010.

Jon grew up in Downers Grove. He got his start in radio on his high school's student station WDGC, where he spent a year doing a terrible impression of Harry Caray.

Jon currently lives in the Humboldt Park neighborhood.

Fun Fact: Jon watches the Price is Right as much as possible in preparation for his future job as the show’s host.
