Before joining DNAinfo.com Chicago for its November 2012 launch, Andrew spent 28 years with the Chicago Sun-Times, including three years as managing editor.
At the Sun-Times, he was a reporter, religion editor, assistant city editor, Sunday editor, editorial page writer and an op-ed columnist. His final position for Sun-Times Media Inc. was editor-in-chief of the company’s west suburban group, overseeing the Aurora Beacon News, Elgin Courier News and Naperville Sun.
His broadcast activities include 10 years as a weekly guest on the “John Williams Show” on WGN Radio; monthly education commentary on Chicago PBS station WYCC-TV; and host of the documentary “The Epic of Evolution,” which explored the relationship between science and religion.
