Here tales of kitchen mishaps and surviving Hurricane Sandy at "The Kitchen is Flooded and Other Disasters: Storytelling and Networking in Support of Red Hook Businesses," hosted by Brooklyn Based and Work It Brooklyn Tuesday night, Nov. 27.

The event runs from 7:30 to 9:30 p.m. at the Brooklyn Brewery, located at 79 North 11th St. in Williamsburg, and includes stories from Allison Robicelli of Robicelli's Cupcakes, Leisah Swenson and Monica Byrne of Homemade, and Jami Attenberg, author of "The Middlesteins."

Tickets cost $15 and include a free beer and raffle ticket. The event's food vendors, including Porchetta, Dreamscoops, Anarchy in a Jar and Growing Chefs, will donate 10 percent of their sales to Restore Red Hook, which is helping fund businesses' recovery effort.
