Free Digital Photo Restoration in Red Hook

Lose photos to Hurricane Sandy? Restore up to 100 images for free at the Kentler International Drawing Space on Sunday, Feb. 24, 2013, courtesy of CARE for Sandy, which is helping families in storm-affected areas restore cherished photos.

CARE for Sandy — the Cherished Albums Restoration Effort — will digitally scan the images, then return the original images to you. The photos need to be reasonably clean and dry, and they must be separated. Names will not be shared, but CARE for Sandy does ask for permission to post the images it scans online to help promote the organization.
