MANHATTAN — A pair of attackers — including one sporting a Tom Brady jersey — violently robbed a 62-year-old woman of her purse in the East Village, police said.
The victim was on East Fifth Street between Avenues C and D on Aug. 19 around 8 p.m. when the two men trailed behind her and kicked her, causing her to fall to the ground, police said.
The men then snatched the woman's purse and fled, leaving the woman with bruising and swelling, police said.
Police described the two suspects as men in their 20s. One was wearing a Patriots jersey emblazoned with Brady's number 12, blue jeans and a backwards baseball cap, while the other was shirtless with a backwards baseball cap.
