CLINTON HILL — A woman was slashed on her arm in Clinton Hill Wednesday afternoon, according to police and witnesses.

Customers inside Urban Vintage at Grand Avenue and Clifton Place said they saw a man help the victim, who appeared to have a 3-inch gash on her arm, over to a stoop outside the cafe as he screamed for help.

"[The wound] didn't look life threatening, but [the man who helped her] was saying, 'She's bleeding out!' and there was a lot of blood," said Melody Meyer, 36, who was sitting near a window inside the eatery at the time.

“It looked serious enough that I would certainly bring myself to the hospital for that kind of wound."

A barista from the cafe called 911 at about 3:40 p.m. and emergency responders took the woman to Methodist Hospital in stable condition, according to the FDNY, NYPD and witnesses.

Anna Thompson, 19, said she was inside her home on Clifton Place just west of Grand Avenue when she heard a commotion and saw the woman holding her arm and screaming for people to call 911.

She then said she saw a man hitting another man with a broomstick and yelling, "You stabbed her, you stabbed her!"

The man getting attacked then hopped on a bike and fled before police arrived, Thompson added.

There were no immediate arrests or descriptions of a suspect or suspects, police said.
