EAST FLATBUSH — The shows won’t go on.

Organizers of two long-running free summer concert series in Brooklyn pulled the plug on the events Friday, telling fans they won’t put on the performances this year.

Those behind the Martin Luther King Jr. Concert Series at Wingate Park in East Flatbush and the Seaside Summer Concert Series in Coney Island said on Facebook that the events are canceled.

“After over thirty years of free concerts in the summer, the Seaside Summer Concert Series and the Martin Luther King Jr. Concert Series will not be presenting any shows in the 2017 season,” the message read.

The announcement comes a day after news broke that American Express is suing the concert organizers for $36,000, as first reported by the New York Daily News.
