UPPER EAST SIDE — A stranger grabbed a straphanger's butt on the 6 train platform and ran last week, police said.

A 57-year-old woman was waiting for the southbound 6 train to arrive at the Lexington Avenue-77th Street station at 5:30 a.m. on April 14, when an unknown man approached her and grabbed her butt, police said. He immediately ran away.

A photo of the man shows him on the platform wearing a light button-up shirt under a black hoodie.

Police describe him as standing 5-foot-6 inches, weighing 175 pounds, with black hair.

Anyone with information in regards to this incident is asked to call the NYPD's Crime Stoppers Hotline at 800-577-TIPS.

On April 18, another man touched his groin inappropriately in front of a woman on the 5 train at the Lexington Avenue-86th Street station. Police are searching for that suspect too.
