UPPER EAST SIDE — Police are searching for a man they say touched himself inappropriately in front of a woman aboard the 5 train, police said.

The suspect grabbed and manipulated his groin in front of the 25-year-old straphanger on a southbound 5 train in the 86th Street/Lexington Avenue station just after noon on April 18, the NYPD said.

The victim exited the train at the station while the suspect stayed on board, authorities said.

A cellphone photo taken of the suspect show him wearing a navy blue sweatshirt, light washed jeans, sneakers, a large watch and carrying a backpack.

Anyone with information in regards to this incident is asked to call the NYPD's Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477).
