CHELSEA — A drunk driver with a blood alcohol level more than twice the legal limit was arrested after crashing at a busy Chelsea intersection, the NYPD said.

A police officer was patrolling the neighborhood around 12:30 a.m. on March 18 when he came across a car crash at the northeast corner of West 23rd Street and Eighth Avenue, the NYPD said.

When the officer approached a gray Toyota Camry with Ohio license plates parked at the scene, he found its 36-year-old driver reeking of alcohol with bloodshot, watery eyes.

The man took a Breathalyzer test, which revealed he had a blood alcohol content of .205, the NYPD said. The legal limit is .08.

He was arrested for driving while intoxicated, police said.

Police didn’t say if anyone else was involved in the crash or whether any injuries were sustained.

Other recent crimes in the 10th Precinct include:

► A 35-year-old man was arrested inside La Sirena at the Maritime Hotel, at 88 Ninth Ave., around 11:35 p.m. on March 16 after he couldn’t pay his $54.44 bill, the NYPD said. A hotel manager recognized him as the same man who hadn’t paid a $93 bill two days earlier. The restaurant didn’t immediately respond to request for comment Thursday.

► A woman punched another woman inside the subway station at West 14th Street and Eighth Avenue around 12:40 a.m. on March 18 after the victim tried to move her attacker’s bag off a subway seat, police said. The victim refused medical treatment at the scene and no one had been arrested as of Wednesday.

► A 28-year-old woman who lives at an Elliott-Chelsea Houses building on 10th Avenue told police she heard someone spray something on her front door around 11 a.m. on March 18. When the woman checked her door, she discovered her peephole had been covered with white spray paint, police said. The woman told police she thinks her neighbor spray-painted the door, as the two had been having issues.
