HUNTS POINT — A pair of online fundraisers for the family of two baby girls fatally burned by a faulty radiator on Wednesday have raised more than $20,000 in less than a week.

Officers from the 41st Precinct, which oversees the area where the deaths occurred, set up a GoFundMe page on Thursday for the family of 1-year-old Scylee Vayoh Ambrose and 2-year-old Ibanez Ambrose, who were both killed on Wednesday after a broken radiator in their Hunts Point Avenue apartment filled the room where they were sleeping with hot steam.

The page aims to raise $100,000 for the family and had raised $4,296 as of Monday morning.

The officers established their page shortly after Elizabeth Irish, who identified herself online as the girls' aunt, set up a GoFundMe page to support the family as well.

Irish's page initially aimed to raise $2,000, but the goal was later upgraded to $10,000, which it had already surpassed by raising $16,760 as of Monday morning.

Irish posted an update to the page after establishing it thanking people for their donations and saying that Pete and Danielle Ambrose, the parents of the two young girls, were now trying to get their vehicle "registered and roadworthy" so they could spend the holidays at home with their families.

"We all cannot thank you enough," she wrote. "Please keep the prayers coming, and let's wrap them up in our love and continuing support."
