QUEENS — The case involving a South Jamaica woman missing since last Saturday is now being investigated as a homicide, police said Tuesday.

Dayo Corley, 43, of Rochdale Village, was found dead Monday in the driver’s seat of her black Chevy Equinox — which was parked at the intersection of 122nd Avenue and Lakeview Lane, near Baisley Pond Park in South Jamaica, not far from her home, authorities said.

Corley, who had no criminal history, was discovered with two small holes in the back of her skull, according to Robert Boyce, NYPD chief of detectives, who discussed the case with reporters at Police Headquarters Tuesday.

She had been last seen on Saturday, Oct. 29, at approximately 2 a.m. at a hair salon on Merrick Boulevard, according to Boyce.

“She leaves there. She’s not seen again. We then find her body in her car about 12 blocks from her home," Boyce said, adding that the car had Florida plates. "We don’t know if she went home first or if the incident happened right then and there.”

Corley was reported missing by a family member, police said.

"We do have someone we’re looking at," Boyce said adding that that person was known to Corley.

But there were no arrests as of Tuesday and the investigation is ongoing, authorities said.

The Medical Examiner will determine the cause of Corley's death, police said.

Anyone with information is asked to call the NYPD's Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477).
