Pair Sought for Armed Robbery at Nostrand Avenue Deli, Police Say

BEDFORD-STUYVESANT — Police are on the lookout for two men who robbed a Nostrand Avenue deli at gunpoint, officials said.

The thieves entered Quincy Market at 331 Nostrand Ave., on the corner of Quincy Street, around 7:30 p.m. on Oct. 19, according to police.

One of the men brandished a gun while the second suspect went behind the counter and demanded money from a worker.

The 25-year-old employee opened the register and the suspect removed approximately $200 in cash, police said.

No injuries were reported and the thieves fled east on Quincy Street, according to officials.

Employees at the bodega were not immediately available for comment.

Police describe the gunman as in his 20s and 5-foot-9 with a slim build. He was last seen wearing a black and white striped hooded sweater with black jeans and dark-colored boots.

The second suspect was last seen wearing a black hooded sweater with a hockey mask on its chest, dark-colored jeans, and multi-colored sneakers. Police describe him as in his 20s, 5-foot-9 with a medium build.
