QUEENS — Police have arrested a homeless man who they said called in a false bomb threat at the Forest Hills subway station last week, police and sources told DNAinfo New York Wednesday.

Brian Harrison, 56, was arrested Wednesday morning when he was drinking a beer on the corner of 71st Avenue and Queens Boulevard, near the E/F/M/R station, police said.

A passerby recognized him from surveillance video released by the NYPD on Monday and called the police, officials said.

Harrison, who was charged with making a false report as well as making terroristic threats, called 911 using a pay phone at the 71st/Continental Avenue subway station around 9:30 a.m. last Thursday and said that there was a bomb there.

He later pressed the emergency button on the elevator and said that "the bomb will go off in six minutes and 57 seconds," police said.

Authorities said no device was found, but the fake bomb scare led to extensive delays as trains bypassed the station for approximately 45 minutes that morning, the MTA said.

His motives remain unclear, police said.

Harrison, who police said has no prior criminal history, had not been arraigned as of Wednesday afternoon, according to the Queens District Attorney’s office.
