COLUMBUS CIRCLE — A thief stole $810 worth of toothpaste from a Duane Reade that lost more than $1,600 worth of toothbrushes to a shoplifter in April, the NYPD said.
A man walked into the 4 Columbus Circle store at 11:38 a.m. on June 5, filled a shopping basket with about 135 boxes of toothpaste and fled without paying, according to authorities.
In April, a thief stole 44 assorted toothbrushes valued at $1,678 from the same Duane Reade, the NYPD said.
A manager working at the Duane Reade on Thursday said he was not aware of the theft.
