GREENPOINT — Sen. Bernie Sanders continued his campaign push through Brooklyn ahead of the New York primary election with a planned stop in the neighborhood Friday evening.
The Democratic presidential candidate took the stage at WNYC Transmitter Park around 5:30 p.m. for a rally. Actor Susan Sarandon introduced the Vermont senator.
Sanders has spent a lot of time in his hometown ahead of the April 19 primary, setting up campaign offices in Harlem, Gowanus and Flatbush, leading a rally in the South Bronx last week and planning another in Manhattan on April 13.
Sanders also held a rally with actor Mark Ruffalo in front of his childhood home at East 26th Street and Avenue P in Midwood Friday afternoon.
