PARK SLOPE — An unlucky car owner has had the tires and rims stolen off his vehicle twice this fall, according to police reports.

The latest theft happened Nov. 22 at 3:30 a.m., when two men were spotted removing the tires, rims and wheel locks off an Infiniti parked on Fourth Street between Eighth Avenue and Prospect Park West.

The 62-year-old car owner was the victim of a similar crime in October when the rims and tires were snatched off his Infiniti parked on Third Street and Eighth Avenue.

Other notable crimes in the 78th Precinct include the following, with details drawn from police reports:

► A burglar forced his way into an apartment on Carlton and St. Marks avenues Nov. 24 between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. and stole a $5,000 Sub-Zero wine fridge, a $2,100 Summit drawer refrigerator, a $2,800 Wolf microwave and a $3,200 Viking stove top.

► A burglar forced his way through the front door of an apartment on Carlton and St. Marks avenues and took $18,000 in valuables including three belt sanders, a Mitsubishi A/C unit and miscellaneous hand tools on Nov. 24 between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m.

► An employee at Milan Optique on Fifth Avenue and Prospect Place noticed Nov. 27 that some glasses were missing from a display case. A review of the store’s video surveillance system revealed two women putting five pairs of Kate Spade glasses worth $1,395 into a bag, then leaving the store without paying for them.

► A 38-year-old mom had her jacket and purse stolen at 5:15 p.m. on Nov. 21 when she left them unattended on a stroller while playing with her daughter at Mount Prospect Park playground on Eastern Parkway and Flatbush Avenue.

► A 33-year-old man had his $2,000 Cannondale bike and Garmin cadence sensor stolen from in front of CrossFit South Brooklyn on Degraw Street and Third Avenue on Nov. 25.

► A blue 2006 Subaru Impreza was stolen from President Street and Fifth Avenue on Nov. 16.

► A 35-year-old man left his silver 2006 Subaru Impreza parked on Seventh Street between Fifth and Sixth avenues on Nov. 25 and discovered it had been stolen when he returned the next day.

► A thief broke into a trailer parked on 10th Street and Second Avenue and stole a Dell laptop and WiFi router on Nov. 25 at 3 p.m.

Overall in the 78th Precinct, major crimes have increased 2.93 percent this year compared to the same period in 2014, according to the most recent statistics from the NYPD.
