BROOKLYN — A woman's teeth were knocked out when a man raped her at gunpoint in the stairwell of a Bedford-Stuyvesant building Monday morning, police said.

The 52-year-old woman was near Putnam Street and Bedford Avenue about 3 a.m. when a man she'd never met before pulled a gun on her and said he'd shoot her if she didn't follow him, NYPD officials said.

He brought her to a building on Lefferts Place where he shoved his fingers down her throat and raped her, police said.

Officials did not release a cross street for where the attack took place.

The woman lost two teeth in the attack and was listed in stable condition at an area hospital, NYPD officials said.

The suspect, who can be seen in surveillance footage released by police, is in his late 30s and may have bite marks on his right hand, police said.

Anyone with information should contact Crime Stoppers at (800) 577-TIPS (8477).
