EAST WILLIAMSBURG — A man was arrested Sunday for siccing his pitbull on his teenage girlfriend after she told him she had an abortion — the first of several sadistic attacks that included nearly choking her to death and holding a gun to her head, authorities said.

The boyfriend, 24, whose full name is being withheld out of privacy concerns for the victim, allegedly flew into a rage on Sunday, Aug. 2, at around 4 a.m. after his 17-year-old girlfriend informed him that she had an abortion, police said.

He started throwing objects at her inside his East Williamsburg apartment and and verbally abused her, saying, "you a dumb b---h, you a murderer," police said. He then ordered his pitbull to attack her by saying "get her, get her," according to the criminal complaint.

The dog bit her several times in the left arm, causing puncture wounds and pain, police said. She was only able to remove the dog with the help of her boyfriend's sister, according to the complaint.

After the pitbull attack, he allegedly forced the teen to stay in the apartment, where he soon began physically attacking her, police and the Brooklyn District Attorney's office said.

At some point, he took her cellphone, tablet computer, Social Security card, ID and MetroCard, saying he wouldn't return them until she replaced or repaired his XBox, the complaint said.

The boyfriend, who was described as standing 6-foot-1 and weighing 200 pounds, put his hands around the girl's neck and squeezed until her vision became blurry and she couldn't breathe normally, the complaint said. He allegedly continued by slapping and kicking her in the face and chest.

He then began to speculate what was "the best way to kill" her — by suffocation or shooting — as he rubbed the barrel of a black handgun against her face, according to the DA's office.

Police later found that it was an airgun that lacked an orange tip in the barrel.

The violent night continued with the attacker pulling the girl's hair, throwing her around the room and telling her to get undressed to prevent her from leaving, authorities said.

The girl was finally able to flee the apartment on Moore Street near Bushwick Avenue and went to Woodhull Hospital. She suffered swelling to the face, pain to the arm and face, puncture wounds and soreness in the neck, according to the complaint.

The boyfriend ultimately returned her property, with the tablet screen cracked, the complaint said.

He was hit with more than a dozen charges from the DA's office, including assault in the second degree, strangulation in the second degree, unlawful imprisonment in the second degree, petit larceny and deceptively colored firearms.

He was ordered held on $50,000 bond, and an order of protection was issued, according to the DA's office.

His attorney declined to comment.
