CROWN HEIGHTS — He brought the crime to the NYPD's front door.

A 27-year-old man was arrested for driving while intoxicated in Crown Heights this week after he smashed his car into a police vehicle — parked right outside the local precinct.

The crash happened at 3:45 on Sunday afternoon, police said, when the man smashed his car into an NYPD SUV parked on New York Avenue near Empire Boulevard across from the 71st Precinct station house.

Officers arrested him after observing he could not stand up straight and that he was slurring his speech. They also found two plastics bags containing marijuana inside the man’s car.

Police said the 27-year-old will be charged with driving while intoxicated and criminal possession of marijuana.

No one was inside the department vehicle at the time of the crash and no one was injured in the incident, police said.
