CROWN HEIGHTS — It’s time for tacos on Franklin Avenue.

The new Asian fusion eatery Domo Taco opened for business in Crown Heights at 733 Franklin Ave. on Monday, serving up burritos, quesadillas and rice bowls with a mix of Korean and Mexican ingredients, according to its owners.

Domo Taco is the first brick-and-mortar effort of a food truck operation with the same name run by chef Nelson Miu and co-owner Thomas Yang. The two applied for a beer and wine license for the spot in April, which was granted on July 23 according to State Liquor Authority records.

The restaurant will also serve tamales for the first time at the new location near Sterling Place, according to a Facebook announcement of the opening.

"It's happening! 733 Franklin is officially opened," the message read, adding that they're "still working out the kinks so please be patient."

Locals are already into the new spot, according to some enthusiastic tweets from its first day:

The new eatery will be open until 11 p.m. most days, with exact hours to be determined. The Domo Taco food truck is still operating for lunch from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. on weekdays. Check the truck's Twitter page for exact locations.
