15 Subway Lines Slated for Service Changes This Weekend

MIDTOWN — Good news first: L train weekend service has been restored! Now, the not-so-good news — 15 lines are scheduled for service changes this holiday weekend.

1 Line: Downtown trains run express from 14th Street to Chambers Street from 11:45 p.m. Friday to 5:00 a.m. Tuesday.

Uptown trains run express from Times Square-42nd Street to 72nd Street from 11:45 p.m. Friday to 5:00 a.m. Tuesday.

2 Line: Flatbush Ave-Brooklyn College-bound trains run express from 14 Street to Chambers Street from 11:45 p.m. Friday to 6:30 a.m. Monday and from 11:45 p.m. Monday to 5:00 a.m. Tuesday.

Wakefield-241st Street-bound trains run express from Times Square-42nd Street to 72nd Street from 11:45 p.m. Friday to 6:30 a.m. Monday and from 11:45 p.m. Monday to 5:00 a.m. Tuesday.

3 Line: Trains skip Rockaway Avenue and Van Siclen Avenue at all times until late September. 

Riders can use shuttle buses at the Saratoga Avenue station at all times for service to and from Rockaway Avenue. B60 riders can transfer to and from shuttle buses at Rockaway Avenue.

Riders can use shuttle buses at the Pennsylvania Avenue station for service to and from Van Siclen Avenue at all times. 

Free transfer is available with a Metro Card.

4 Line: Trains skip Rockaway Avenue and Van Siclen Avenue at all times until late September.

Brooklyn-bound trains skip 103rd Street at all times until September.

Brooklyn-bound trains skip 138th Street-Grand Concourse from 11:45 p.m. Friday to 6:00 a.m. Saturday, from 11:45 p.m. Saturday to 8:00 a.m. Sunday and from 11:45 p.m. Sunday to 5:00 a.m. Monday.

Woodlawn-bound trains will run local from Grand Central-42nd Street to 125th Street from 12:01 a.m. Saturday to 5:00 a.m. Tuesday.

5 Line: Service is suspended in both directions between East 180th Street and Bowling Green from 6:00 a.m. Saturday to 11:30 p.m. Monday.

Riders can take the 2 or 4 instead. 4 train service is extended to Bowling Green and there will be shuttle trains operating between Eastchester-Dyre Avenue and E 180th Street all weekend.

6 Line: Brooklyn Bridge-City Hall-bound trains skip 103rd Street and all times until September.

7 Line: Service is suspended in both directions between Flushing-Main Street and Mets-Willets Point from 11:45 p.m. Friday to 11:59 p.m. Saturday.

Shuttle buses will run between Flushing-Main Street and Mets-Willets Point and riders can transfer between trains and shuttle buses at Mets-Willets Point.

A Line: Far Rockaway-Ozone Park-Lefferts Boulevard-bound trains will skip Rockaway Boulevard at all times until Summer 2015.

For service to this station, take the Far Rockaway-bound A to Aqueduct-North Conduit Avenue or the Lefferts Boulevard-bound A to 104th Street and transfer to a Brooklyn-bound A. 

For service from this station, take a Brooklyn-bound A to 88th Street and transfer to a Far Rockaway or Lefferts Boulevard-bound A.

Inwood-207th Street-bound trains will run express from 59th Street-Columbus Circle to 125th Street from 11:45 p.m. Friday to 6:30 a.m. Monday and from 11:45 p.m. Monday to 5:00 a.m. Tuesday.

C Line: Uptown trains will run express from 59th Street-Columbus Circle to 125th Street from 6:00 a.m. Saturday to 11:00 p.m. Monday.

Brooklyn-bound trains will run express from 59th Street-Columbus Circle to Canal Street from 6:30 a.m. Saturday to 11:00 p.m. Monday.

D Line: Coney Island-bound trains will run on the N line from 36th Street in Brooklyn  to Coney Island-Stillwell Avenue from 3:45 a.m. Saturday to 10:00 p.m. Monday. 

E Line: Trains will run local in both directions between Roosevelt Avenue and Forest Hills-71st Avenue from 12:30 a.m. Saturday to 5:00 a.m. Tuesday.

F Line: Coney Island-bound trains run on the E line from Roosevelt Avenue to West 4th Street-Washington Square and then on the A line to Jay Street-Metro Tech from 11:45 p.m. Friday to 5:00 a.m. Tuesday.

Trains will run express from Roosevelt Avenue to Queens Plaza.

Trains will run local in both directions from Roosevelt Avenue to Forest Hills-71st Avenue from 12:30 a.m. Saturday to 5:00 a.m. Tuesday.

N Line: Queens-bound trains will run on the R line from Atlantic Avenue-Barclays Center to Canal Street from 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.

Coney Island-bound trains will stop at 45th Street and 53rd Street in Brooklyn from 12:30 a.m. Saturday to 5:00 a.m. Tuesday.

Q Line: Coney Island-bound trains will run express from Prospect Park to Kings Highway from 11:15 p.m. Friday to 5:00 a.m. Tuesday.

Uptown trains will run on the R line from Atlantic Avenue-Barclays Center to Canal Street from 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. Trains will stop at Jay Street-MetroTech, Court Street, Whitehall Street, Rector Street, Cortland Street and City Hall.

R Line: Service will be extended to the Jamaica-179th Street F station from 6:30 a.m. to midnight Saturday, Sunday and Monday.

36th Street-bound trains will stop at 53rd Street and 45th Street from 11:45 p.m. Friday to 6:30 a.m. Monday and from 11:45 p.m. Monday to 5:00 a.m. Tuesday.
