JACKSON HEIGHTS — Police arrested a man they believe shot and killed a gang rival in broad daylight on Roosevelt Avenue after an argument.

Raul Zamora, 35, was arrested Saturday for the May 5 murder, police said.

He went up to Jorge Manzanarez at the corner of Roosevelt and Whitney avenues at 2:33 p.m. along with two other men — who are still at large— and shot him once in the chest, according to the criminal complaint.

Police said the groups had a verbal fight and the shooting may have been gang-related.

Manzanarez, 38, later died at Elmhurst Hospital, police said.

Zamora, who had six previous arrests in the area, was charged with second-degree murder, criminal possession of a weapon and gang assault.

Information on his lawyer was not immediately available.
