WILLIAMSBURG — The L train won't run between Brooklyn and Manhattan during weekends and late nights for several weeks this spring, according to the MTA.

The train will only run from Canarsie to Lorimer St., halting service between the Bedford Avenue and Eighth Avenue stations in Manhattan on weekends between April 11 and May 18.

The train also won't run between Bedford Avenue and Eighth Avenue between midnight and 5 a.m. from March 25 to May 22.

The MTA plans to do maintenance work on the line at those times.

Those needing to cross the river can take the JMZ lines, with MTA running shuttles from the Lorimer Street station to the Marcy Avenue stop.

There will also be extra M14 service between the First Avenue L and the Eighth Avenue L, the MTA said.
