NEW YORK CITY — With a wintry mix of snow and rain headed to the city this weekend and nine subway lines disrupted due to construction, it may be a good idea to queue up the Netflix, crawl under the covers and stay inside.

The MTA canceled some weekend work because of the weather but is moving ahead with work on the 4, 5, 6, 7, A, C, E, Q and the 42nd Street shuttle.
