WILLIAMSBURG — Two men wearing ski masks robbed a Bedford Avenue Verizon Wireless store at gunpoint Friday — demanding that witnesses throw goods into a black laundry sack, police said.

The two men, who wore ski masks and gloves, entered the cell phone store at 152 Bedford Ave. on Jan. 9 around 7:43 p.m., police said.

One man then pointed a black revolver at witnesses in the store and demanded that they go to the back office with the men, police said.

The man then ordered the witnesses to put property into a black laundry sack, according to police. It was unclear what went into the bag.

The men told the witnesses to stay inside the store as they ran south on Bedford Avenue, police said.

An employee at the Verizon Wireless store declined to comment on the incident. The investigation is ongoing.

While he was gone, his landlord and an exterminator went into the apartment to deal with a bedbug issue, police said. They were together the whole time.

When the man returned around 7:30 p.m., he found that the $2,000 was gone.

The landlord and exterminator said they didn't take anything, police said. No one has been arrested for the incident.

The victim, 30, was walking east on Richardson Street from Union Avenue on Jan. 9 around 11:40 p.m., police said.

She took out her iPhone 6 Plus to make a call when the two men rode up on BMX bicycles from behind her, police said.
