THE BRONX — Two teenagers were arrested Monday, about a month after they fatally shot a 24-year-old man in a brawl outside a Fordham nightclub involving a baseball bat and knives, according to the NYPD.

Zaire Bansey, 19, and Peter Hajdari, 18, got into a fight with a group of men outside Xtreme Lounge at 2510 Valentine Ave., near East Fordham Road, just before 4 a.m. on Oct. 5, police said.

Police said the teens fatally shot 24-year-old Dennis Rodriguez, of Mott Haven, who was taken to St. Barnabas Hospital and pronounced dead, police said.

Five other men were also injured in the fray, police said. A 26-year-old was hit in the head with a baseball bat, a 21-year-old man was shot in the leg, a 23-year-old was slashed in the torso and a 22-year-old's face was slashed, according to police. The men were taken to St. Barnabas in stable condition. A 21-year-old man was shot in the head and was taken to the hospital in critical condition, police said.

An NYPD spokesman did not have information on why the two groups clashed.

Bansey, of Castle Hill, and Hajdari, of Westchester Square, were arrested Monday on charges of murder, manslaughter and criminal possession of a weapon, police said.

They were both awaiting arraignment Tuesday morning, prosecutors said.

Bansey was previously arrested in March for criminal possession of a knife, an NYPD spokesman said.
