CHELSEA — A Fashion Institute of Technology student who had just returned from Trinidad and Tobago opened her suitcase to find 10 pounds of cocaine, and she told investigators she had no idea how it got there, police said.

The woman, 21, flew into John F. Kennedy Airport on a Caribbean Airlines flight on Aug. 15, and got all the way to her West 31st Street dorm before discovering the drug in her bag at about 8:30 p.m., police said.

She immediately called the police, who hauled off the four bricks of alleged cocaine, police said. The woman was not arrested, according to NYPD records.

A spokeswoman for the New York City Office of the Special Narcotics Prosecutor said that the office had no knowledge of the case.

An FIT spokeswoman said the school had few details on the case and declined to comment because it is an ongoing police investigation.

The United States Drug Enforcement Administration did not respond to requests for comment.

Other recent crimes in the 10th Precinct include:

► A man's $30,000 Rolex watch was stolen by a woman he brought home after a night of drinking and partying, police said.

He met the female suspect at the Boom Boom Room in the Standard Hotel, before they moved to the Gansevoort Hotel, then to the nightclub Marquee on 10th Avenue, before ending up at the man's apartment, according to the NYPD.

When the man woke up later that morning, the woman had disappeared and his year-old 18-karat gold Rolex was also gone, along with a Citibank MasterCard, police said.

Police are now looking for the woman, who had brown curly hair and was last seen wearing blue jeans and a white sweater.

The male victim was skateboarding on West 23rd Street between Seventh and Eighth avenues at about 10:45 p.m. on Aug. 14 when he was hit by the car and was knocked to the pavement, police said.

The man, 25, sustained injuries to his right leg and knee, police said.

According to police, the 34-year-old man was sharing a room at the Chelsea International Hostel on West 20th Street with four friends, also from Australia, when the group decided to head out for a night on the town at about 8 p.m. on Aug. 14.

When the man returned at about 6 a.m. the next day, his Canon 5D Mark III camera was missing from under his bed, according to police. All of his friends were in the room when he returned, but had come back from their night out at different times, police said.

Hostel staff declined to comment.

► A man's $11,000 Leica camera went missing after he attended a party on the top floor of Kensington House on Aug. 10, police said.

The 62-year-old man placed his Leica M9P camera down on the counter while attending a party at the 200 W. 20th St. building at about 8 p.m., police said.

When the man returned to the penthouse the next morning, the camera was gone, police said.
