CARROLL GARDENS — Almost $50 worth of Skittles, Coca-Cola bottles and cookies were stolen from a Carroll Gardens store last weekend, police said.

Ronald Maxwell, 20, snuck into Smith Convenience at 321 Smith St. between 7 p.m. and past midnight on July 18 and 19, police said.

Maxwell stole snacks worth $48.90. He was later arrested about 12:45 a.m. on July 19, police said.

A manager at the store, who was not on duty during the theft, said Wednesday that the incident may have involved multiple teens.

Police were not immediately available to confirm the store's report.

Maxwell's attorney, Brett Amelkin, declined to comment.

Other notable crimes from the 76th Precinct, according to police, include:

► A man making deliveries on Smith Street had his Samsung Galaxy cellphone and charger, both worth $530, stolen from his car on July 17 between 3:30 p.m. and 4:40 p.m.

► A 26-year-old man was attacked and robbed by three men while waiting to hail a cab at the corner of Smith and Ninth Streets on July 19 about 3:30 a.m. One attacker called, “Hey stranger” to catch the victim’s attention while the others punched and kicked him. The thieves stole his $60 wallet, credit cards, house keys and $60 in cash.

The victim suffered a cut above his right eye. He was taken to Long Island College Hospital where he received seven stitches near his eyebrow.
