MIDTOWN — A man was busted after breaking into a dozen offices and event spaces, swiping laptops, cash and even a bottle of bourbon, police said.

Darnell Lawson, 50, broke into 11 offices in Midtown, Chelsea and the Flatiron District after they had closed, stealing electronics that were primarily MacBooks or Dell laptops, the NYPD said.

The incidents took place throughout April, May and June, police said. During at least one of the break-ins, Lawson was caught on camera wearing thick glasses and a hat with the world "Brooklyn" in large white letters.

Police arrested Lawson after they caught him trying to burglarize the event space Gary's Loft at 28 W. 36th St. just after midnight on July 18. He was charged with burglary and criminal trespassing, records show.

His bail was set at $75,000, records show.

Lawson's spree hit many local businesses, including the Michael Allan Group at 22 W. 38th St. and Soft Tech Health at 363 Seventh Ave. While breaking into Crossmedia Inc. at 22 W. 23rd St. on May 24, he took a bottle of bourbon, as well as several MacBooks, police said.

It was not clear how much money was stolen and from which addresses the cash was taken, police said.

Darnell's attorney could not immediately be reached for comment.
