MANHATTAN — Police are looking for a man who sexually assaulted a woman inside her East Village apartment last weekend, the NYPD said.
The 32-year-old victim woke up at 3 a.m. April 13 to discover the suspect standing on her bed, police said. He tried to rape her but when she fought back, he fled, police said.
Police described the suspect as a man in his 20s, 5-foot-4 and 160 pounds.
It was not immediately clear how the man got access into the apartment.
