COBBLE HILL — A Manhattan pizzeria will be serving Neapolitan pies at their first Brooklyn location on Atlantic Avenue.

Luzzo’s officially opened at 145 Atlantic Ave. on Monday but they’ll celebrate their grand opening on Nov. 14., said spokeswoman Eden Tesfamariam.

Luzzo’s, which has locations in the East Village and Chelsea, will also bring their famous happy hour called “aperitivo Italiano” from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. on weekdays.

Unlike most happy hours, the drinks won’t be discounted but there will be a buffet of complimentary pizzas, pastas and salads for diners to munch on.

“It’s an Italian traditional happy hour,” said Tesfamarian.

The restaurant will be serving traditional coal-oven pizza, an old-fashioned square pizza called “La Quadrata” and “pizza fritta,” which is fried pizza stuffed with mozzarella, ricotta, tomato sauce, ham and black pepper.

Other recent comings and goings on the neighborhood restaurant and retail scene include the following:

Francesco’s Pizzeria & Trattoria will be reopening in November after months of closure due to renovations. The restaurant at 531 Henry St. did not immediately respond to requests for comment.
