15 Subway Lines Will Face Service Changes this Weekend

NEW YORK CITY — Here's what's in store for this weekend for your subway services changes.

4 Line: There will be no service between Woodlawn and 161st Street-Yankee Stadium from 3:30 a.m. Saturday to 10 p.m. Sunday. Riders can take the D train from Yankee Stadium instead or hop the free shuttle buses.

6 Line: Brooklyn-bridge bound trains will run express from Parkchester to 3rd Avenue-138th Street from 11:45 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday.

Trains are skipping Middletown Road and Castle Hill Avenue at all times through May 2014 because of station renewal work.

7 Line: There will be no service between Times Square and Queensboro Plaza from 11:45 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday.

Riders can use the E, F, N or Q lines for service between Manhattan and Queens.

Shuttle buses will run between Vernon Boulevard-Jackson Avenue and Queensboro Plaza. The 42nd Street shuttle train will also operate overnight.

A Line: There will be no service between Howard Beach-JFK Airport and Far Rockaway-Mott Avenue from 5:30 a.m. Saturday to 10 p.m. Sunday. Shuttle buses will run in two segments:

• Non-stop between Howard Beach and Far Rockaway via the Nassau Expressway.
• Between Howard Beach and Rockaway Parkway, stopping at Broad Channel.

Downtown trains will also run express from 168th Street to 125th Street and from 59th Street to Canal Street from 11:45 p.m. Friday to 6:30 a.m. Saturday, 11:45 p.m. Saturday to 6:30 a.m. Sunday and 11:45 p.m. Sunday to 5 a.m. Monday.

Downtown trains will run local from 125th Street to 59th Street from 12:01 a.m. Saturday to 5 a.m. Monday.

C Line: Trains run express in both directions between 59th Street and Canal Street from 6:30 a.m. to 11 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.

Downtown trains will run express form 168th Street to 125th Street from 6 a.m. to 11:30 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.

D Line: Downtown trains will run local from 145th Street to 59th Street from 12:02 Saturday to 5 a.m. Monday.

F Line: Jamaica-bound trains will be rerouted over the A line from Jay Street-Metro Tech to West 4th Street from 11:45 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday.

Jamaica-bound trains will also be rerouted over the M line from 47th-50th Streets to Queens Plaza from 9:45 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday.

M Line: Trains will skip Forest Avenue in both directions from 11:45 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday. Shuttle buses will provide service between Forest Avenue and Fresh Pond Road.

J Line: There will be no trains between Hewes and Essex streets from 5:45 a.m. to 8 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. Trains will run in two sections:

• Between Jamaica Center and Hewes Street
• Between Essex Street and Chambers Street, every 15 minutes

Shuttle buses will provide service between Hewes and Essex streets.

L Line: Trains will run every 12 minutes between Rockaway Parkway and Myrtle-Wyckoff Avenues from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. Myrtle-Wyckoff Avenues will also be the last stop for some Rockaway Parkway-bound trains.

Q Line: Service will be extended to Ditmars Boulevard from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.

N Line: Late night trains will be rerouted over the Manhattan Bridge because of ongoing post-Sandy work on the Montague Tube.

R Line: Trains will be rerouted over the Manhattan Bridge.

Rockaway Park Shuttle: There will be no service between Road Channel and Beach 90th Street from 5:30 a.m. Saturday to 10 p.m. Sunday.

Staten Island Railway: Trains will only run on the St. George-bound track between Old Town Road and Jefferson Avenue from 9 p.m. Friday to 4 a.m. Monday.
